What is BC

BC means "British Canoing" and is considered as the world leading system in sea kayaking. Earlier the system was named BCU "British Canoe Union" and the training system was named "Stars".

No matter if you wish to work professionally with seakayaking or just develop your own personal skills this course gives you a great start within the BC system.
The course suits the person who has some prior experience from seakayaking but who wants to develop the skills and safety routines to a higher level. The course is about bow rudders, cross bow rudders, low- and high brace, moving sideways, re- entry and roll, rescue skills, towing and more.
The course is a training which means that there is no chance to fail - only to learn more. During the course where 's a calm and relaxed atmosphere and we run small groups.

 

Dates 2019

The course runs from our kajakcenter in Grebbestad during two days. The course will be run by BCU level 5 coach James Stevenson and the course will be held in English.
We'll meet 09.00 at our base in Grebbestad.

Dates 13-14 of July 2019

Included:

The course includes 2 days of coaching with level 5 coach James Stevenson. No equipment or kayaks are included but you are welcome to rent the gear you need.

 

Accomodation

The course do not include accommodation but we can suggest several places within the area to stay.
You are welcome to store your kayak at our center and use our drying room during the course with out extra charge.

Please notice that we have a different cancellation policy on this corse as the spaces are few and James have great expenses for the flights here. In case of a cancellation we make no refund.
